Using the Service

You may use ShowCountdown to create and display timers, manage event rundowns, send stage messages and share role-based room views. You must be legally able to enter an agreement in your location, or use the service with permission from a parent, guardian or authorised organisation.

Accounts and Room Links

You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials secure and activity performed through your account or private room links. Controller, Operator, Viewer and Moderator URLs grant different permissions and should be shared only with intended recipients. An optional link password is an additional browser gate; the underlying role link must still be treated as confidential.

Acceptable Use

• Do not use the service unlawfully, deceptively or to violate another person's rights
• Do not probe, disrupt, overload or bypass security and viewer limits
• Do not upload or transmit malicious code, illegal content or sensitive information you are not authorised to process
• Do not impersonate others, abuse shared links or interfere with another room
• Do not resell or automate access in a way that harms the service without written permission

Your Content

You keep responsibility for room names, notes, messages and other content you enter. You grant ShowCountdown the limited permission needed to host, copy, transmit and display that content to the room participants you choose. You confirm that you have the right to provide it.

Service Availability

ShowCountdown is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, be limited or be discontinued, and the service may be interrupted by maintenance, provider outages, browser behaviour or network conditions. Do not rely on ShowCountdown as the only timing or safety system for a critical production; keep an appropriate event-day backup.

Third-Party Services

The service depends on browser, network, hosting, Cloudflare and analytics services that are governed by their own terms. ShowCountdown is not responsible for third-party products such as OBS, streaming platforms, presentation software or internet providers.

Intellectual Property

The ShowCountdown name, interface, software and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of the product or permission to copy, reverse engineer or redistribute it except where applicable law expressly allows.

Suspension and Termination

Access may be limited or terminated when necessary to address abuse, security risk, unlawful conduct, non-payment for any future paid feature, or material violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and can request deletion of account or room data through support.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular event or error-free timing. ShowCountdown is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages arising from use or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Applicable Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of ShowCountdown and your use of the service, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so the issue can be investigated and, where possible, resolved informally.
